Hello and Welcome to Doughty Design Studio. My name is Tamara H. Doughty and I am a life long Artist, proud Mom, prouder Grandmother, retired Art /Theater teacher, Vivid Artist, BOSCO member.

Good art tells a story, great art uplifts and inspires and I am constantly striving to elevate my work.

I describe myself a Mixed Media artist because I haven’t met a media I didn’t enjoy. Currently I’m working with 2 mediums, Cyanotypes and Shibori printing that use substances reactive to sun light and oxidation. Totally different disciplines but each allows me to explore the intriguing nature of light and how it passes through, bounces off, curves around, or reflects off objects. Both are challenging, lengthy multi-step processes that are time, temperature sensitive but I love the struggle.
